Cold weather is affecting airline passengers from across Northern Ireland with many flights cancelled or delayed. Here’s the Consumer Council’s advice on your rights and options if your travel plans are disrupted by the bad weather:
The Consumer Council has been recognised for its “proactive approach” in representing and promoting the rights of air passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility. The recognition came during the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) launch today of “Accessible Air Travel ” - a review on the first year of European regulation aimed at improving the rights of passengers with a disability or reduced mobility.
Northern Ireland’s consumers are being punished with rising petrol and diesel prices before there are universally available, fully accessible alternatives to the car in place, the Consumer Council has said.
