The Consumer Council is committed to developing a better Northern Ireland and therefore is encouraged and enthused about the outcomes based approach taken by the draft Programme for Government (dPfG) for 2016-21.
The Consumer Council is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) established through the General Consumer Council (Northern Ireland) Order 1984. Our principal statutory duty is to promote and safeguard the interests of consumers in Northern Ireland.
The Consumer Council welcomes the opportunity to respond to this consultation and are committed to continuing to work with the Department for Regional Development (DRD) and all relevant stakeholders in the pursuit of a public transport service that meets the needs of consumers.
