The Consumer Council retains Customer Service Excellence Standard

We have retained our Customer Service Excellence Standard for commitment to high-quality customer service as well as securing an additional Compliance Plus rating.

Customer Service Excellence ® Standard is a Government recognised accreditation scheme developed to offer service providers a practical tool for driving customer-focused change within their organisation.

We first embarked on the Customer Service Excellence journey in 2017, which tests 57 different elements across five criteria: customer insight; organisational culture; information and access; service delivery; and timeliness and quality of service.

Following our recent annual review, we have retained the Standard and now have 34 Compliant and 23 Compliance Plus ratings for Customer Service Excellence.

Noyona Chundur, our Chief Executive said,

"Alongside retaining the British Standard 18477 for Inclusive Service Provision earlier this year, retaining the Customer Service Excellent accreditation is a fantastic achievement for us. Demand for our front line services has increased exponentially as we provide support and advice to consumers during the cost of living crisis, however retaining the award shows that our commitment to serving and supporting consumers, stakeholders and each other, is unwavering.

I want to thank our team for their hard work, enthusiasm, and ongoing support in making this success happen. Retaining the award highlights the dedication the Consumer Council team shows in ensuring we deliver excellent customer service to our customers across Northern Ireland.”
