It is easy to use and can also be accessed by visually impaired people who already use the Internet. Speaking at the launch Joan Whiteside, Chairman of the Consumer Council said, “Consumers in Northern Ireland now have 21st century technology to help them fight back against rip-offs and bad service. ConsumerLine is a real step forward for local consumers. By co-operating with the Consumer Council to put consumer advice on to the Internet, we have demonstrated that public sector partnership works for local people.” ConsumerLine has detailed information on problems ranging from counterfeit goods to second-hand cars.
