CONSUMER COUNCIL WELCOMES FOCUS ON GETTING WATER REFORM RIGHT

Steve Costello, Chairman of the Consumer Council said: “We welcome Northern Ireland Water’s up-front commitment to focus on consumers and develop an efficient water and sewerage service for Northern Ireland. These are the two fundamental building blocks that will help us all to make sure we deliver this precious resource at the lowest price and highest quality

“The Minister for Regional Development and the Northern Ireland Assembly are rightly focusing on building public trust and confidence in water reform process.The Consumer Council will continue to engage positively and constructively with them, Northern Ireland Water and other stakeholders to ensure that we deliver a water charge that is fair, affordable and sustainable.”
