The Consumer Council is keen to support Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and would welcome the opportunity to work in partnership in achieving the vision and the outcomes of the Local Development Plan.
We are particularly keen to provide specific mention on a number of key projects, under the three high level long term goals, which we feel could be of mutual benefit through closer working and sharing of information.
The UK Consumer Advocacy bodies have considered the consultation document dated 5 October 2016 and the changes Royal Mail is proposing to make to the UK Post Scheme and the Overseas Letter Post Scheme.
The Consumer Council is committed to developing a better Northern Ireland and therefore is encouraged and enthused about the outcomes based approach taken by the draft Programme for Government (dPfG) for 2016-21.
The Consumer Council is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) established through the General Consumer Council (Northern Ireland) Order 1984. Our principal statutory duty is to promote and safeguard the interests of consumers in Northern Ireland.
