Wizzair – notice for consumers who made an unsuccessful claim prior to 18 March 2022

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has taken enforcement action against Wizz Air following significant concerns over high volumes of complaints about the airline not paying passengers what they are owed.

This action covers claims made for flights due to depart from or arrive into a UK airport on or after 18 March 2022. No action is needed on the part of passengers to ensure these claims are reviewed.

However passengers whose flights were due to depart from or arrive into a UK airport before 18 March 2022 can also request for their claims with the airline to be reopened, as long as their flight was no more than six years ago.

If you're unhappy with the response from your airline, or they haven’t responded to you within their agreed timeframe, we can help.

We can investigate the issue on your behalf and help you get a resolution. Call us on 0800 121 6022, or email contact@consumercouncil.org.uk, stating the details of your enquiry.
