Consumer Council welcomes Public Transport Ticketing Investment
The Consumer Council welcomes today’s announcement from the Minister of Infrastructure regarding a £45 million investment in public transport ticketing.
Speaking about the announcement, John French, Chief Executive of the Consumer Council said “A modern, efficient and convenient ticketing system that will benefit passengers and improve passenger experience is great news.”
Continuing John said “We know from research that any new ticketing solution needs to have a strong focus on value for money, convenience, ease of purchase and flexibility to be used on all Translink services. We look forward to working with the Department for Infrastructure and Translink to ensure the best system is delivered for passengers.”
In the meantime, passengers can save money using public transport with a range of discounted tickets.
