With One Direction’s Harry Styles recently being rapped by a water company for wasting water while brushing his teeth in a video post, the Consumer Council says we could all pick up a few tips on being more water efficient during World Water Week!
The Consumer Council is today launching a survey to discover how much, on average, people in Northern Ireland (NI) are paying for their car insurance. This is in advance of the Competition and Markets Authority report on their investigation into the private motor insurance market in the UK and NI, due to be published on the 28 September.
Continuing its campaign to help businesses make sure they aren’t paying more for their water than necessary, the Consumer Council has recently helped two NI supermarkets get over £5000 back on their water bills.
The Consumer Council is disappointed to learn about the closures of the Danske Bank branches in Dungiven and Maghera on 14th November 2014.
Consumer Council responds to Royal Mail’s announcement of new collection arrangements and post boxes
The Consumer Council has said consumers should be aware of changes Royal Mail is introducing to collection times of some post boxes across NI.
LINK, the UK’s cash machine network provider today welcomes the installation of a free-to-use cash machine in Pomeroy, Northern Ireland. The new ATM is a direct result of LINK’s Financial Inclusion Programme.
The Consumer Council has welcomed new UK wide guidelines which should see NI shoppers benefit from clearer, up front information on parcel delivery charges. This means they will no longer have to wait until the end of the purchasing process to find out if they will be hit with high charges or be left facing the prospect of no delivery at all.
