Consumer Council advice on the grounding of Boeing 737 MAX 8 Planes

Richard Williams, Head of Transport at The Consumer Council said, “Following the tragic accident of Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302, Boeing 737 MAX 8, both the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) have temporarily suspended Boeing 737 Max aircraft in their airspace.

This suspension may affect passengers on Norwegian Airlines flights from Dublin to the USA. Passengers whose flight has been cancelled will have the choice between, re-routing when possible, re-routing at a later date or a refund. Passengers who chose to re-route will be entitled to meals, refreshments, telephone calls or hotel accommodation if necessary.
