Do you work in the community or voluntary sector and want to raise awareness of financial matters among the groups you work with, to help them know their rights and complain effectively? If so, the Consumer Council invites you to a free workshop on Tuesday, 26 March 2013 at NICVA Duncairn Gardens.
The Consumer Council has said it has sought assurances from Ulster Bank that customers should not experience any further difficulties using cards, making online transactions and withdrawing cash. The Consumer Council has today launched a new collection of transport guides aimed at equipping air and ferry passengers with information on their rights and responsibilities when they travel. It is urging anyone taking a flight or ferry journey this holiday season to pick up one or all of their guides:
•Plane Facts - Your essential Guide to Air Travel,
•Access to Air (for passengers with a disability or reduced mobility)
•Access to Air – Easy Read (for those with a learning disability),
•Plain Sailing – Your rights in instances of ferry service delays and cancellations
•Access to Ferry Travel (for passengers with a disability or reduced mobility).
The Consumer Council is urging consumers to protect their homes as snow continues to thaw.
The Consumer Council has awarded CAFRE (College for Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise) its ‘Water Champion Gold’ status for making water efficiency savings of 1,500m3 per year, a saving of approximately £1,600 off their annual water bill.
