The Consumer Council brought the voice of consumers to the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee (NIAC) in Westminster today
Reports that the cost of motoring continues to escalate will come as no shock to Northern Ireland (NI) consumers, who face some of the highest fuel costs along with the highest cost for insurance anywhere in the UK.
The Northern Ireland Affairs Committee has announced its intention to conduct an inquiry into the issue of Air Passenger Duty (APD) and how this impacts on Northern Ireland (NI) consumers. A review of APD is currently out for consultation by HM Treasury(1).
