The Consumer Council welcomes the opportunity to respond to this consultation and is committed to working with the Department of Education and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that home to school transport is not only fit for purpose, but that the resources used for the provision of these services are considered in the planning of wider public transport services to ensure the needs of Northern Ireland consumers are met most effectively and efficiently.
