The Consumer Council has launched ‘Bills made easy’ and ‘Consumer Pages’ in a bid to make life a little bit easier for Northern Ireland consumers. ‘Bills made easy’ is designed to help consumers understand their utility bills, whilst ‘Consumer Pages’ provides easy access to important contact numbers should consumers have a query or complaint to make.

As the average price for 900 litres of home heating oil passes the £550 mark for the first time since July 2008, the Consumer Council is calling on the new Northern Ireland Executive to examine the need for regulating the industry as a key priority following the upcoming Assembly Elections.
