The Consumer Council is delighted to present its Corporate Plan for the period 2008-2011. We really enjoyed developing the plan and our objective was to make it meaningful, forward-looking and relevant to consumers, our partners and our Government.
The Consumer Council has welcomed the move by the Office of the First and deputy First Minister to bring together local financial institutions to tackle the serious issues facing Northern Ireland (NI) consumers in the wake of the consumer crunch.

The Consumer Council today welcomed new legislation that will boost the rights of passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility when travelling through airports in Europe. From 26 July, airports will have to provide services that will help these passengers through each stage of their journey.
