The Council welcomes the opportunity to respond to Ofcom’s review of recovering postal regulation and consumer advocacy costs.
We note that the purpose of the consultation is to help the government better understand what consumers need from the Post Office network which will help with the application for state aid. It is in this context that the Consumer Council provides its response to set out what consumers here need from the network moving forward.
The Consumer Advocacy Bodies - Citizens Advice, Citizens Advice Scotland and the Consumer Council for Northern Ireland - represent UK postal consumers.
