A proposal to make motor and home insurance renewal quotes easier for customers to compare has been welcomed by the Consumer Council.

Consumer Council research has revealed that consumers can save up to 60 per cent by pre-booking on-site long stay airport car parking instead of paying at the gate. A saving of up to £52 is currently possible for a pre-booked stay of 14 days, meaning that passengers can have more money to spend at the other end of their flight or to pay for that extra suitcase.
