The start of 2011 will be bleak for Northern Ireland motorists as the impact of added fuel duty tax and rising VAT affects the price of fuel . These increases could see motorists paying 125ppl for petrol and 129ppl for diesel. The warning was issued today (22 December 2010) by the Consumer Council as it publishes its latest ‘Review of Petrol and Diesel Prices’. The report shows that we are now paying £6.89 more for petrol and £8.08 for diesel compared to the same time last year.
