The Financial Capability Partnership NI (the Partnership) has launched a poll to discover the biggest problems local Fermanagh people are experiencing when it comes to managing money.
- Personal Finances
The Consumer Council has welcomed the launch of the Gas Safe Register public awareness campaign. Gas Safe Register will replace the CORGI registration scheme on 1 April 2010. It has also called for registered engineers to reflect the reduced costs of the new scheme in their charges to customers.
Northern Ireland consumers have an opportunity to make their voice heard when the Consumer Council takes to the road to provide advice and listen to consumer views about public transport, air and ferry travel, electricity, coal, water, shopping rights and money matters. The road shows will see the Consumer Council visiting Strabane, Magherafelt and Ards over the next two weeks.
Are you savvy with your spondoolies, a dab-hand with your dough, frugal with your funds or meticulous with your moolah? If you have managing money down to a fine art and think you could be Fermanagh’s ‘Savvy Susie’ or ‘Frugal Frankie’, the Financial Capability Partnership wants to hear from you.
- Consumer Skills
The Consumer Council says it will continue to push for best value water and sewerage services and that today is a milestone but not the final destination. The comments came as the Utility Regulator today published its Final Determination on Northern Ireland Water’s (NI Water) spending plans for the next three years (Price Control 2010/PC10).
