The Consumer Council's guide to the Supreme Court ruling on bank charges

The Consumer Council says it is deeply disappointed with today’s Supreme Court ruling against the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), which means that banks do not have to prove that their charges for slipping into the red are fair. The judgment brings to a close a three-year battle which brought the banks in front of the High Court and the Supreme Court.
