The Consumer Council today welcomed the Financial Services Authority (FSA) response to consumer concerns about getting charged excessive Mortgage Exit Administration Fees (MEAF) . The Consumer Council is calling on mortgage lenders to stop all unfair charges that place a real barrier in front of consumers who want to shop around for a better mortgage deal and for consumers to challenge these charges.
