<p>The Consumer Council today launched its “Stop Unfair Charges” campaign with a two-step guide encouraging customers to challenge their banks’ excessive charges for straying into the red. It comes on the day that the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) branded credit card charges over £12 as unfair, and signalled that the other banking services, including overdrafts, should fall into line.</p>
