The Banking Protocol
The Banking Protocol is a UK-wide initiative meaning that branch staff in financial institutions may ask you questions when you make a deposit, withdraw cash or make a transfer. This is in place because financial institutions want to protect you and your money to keep you safe from scams, fraud and financial crime. Report financial crime to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) on 101. Find out more on our Banking Protocol web page.
