As part of the Scamwise NI Partnership, we have developed a programme to help people be more scam aware in Northern Ireland.
Become a Scamwise Champion
Together with the Scamwise NI Partnership, a consortium of organisations in Northern Ireland who work together to educate people about scams, we have created the Scamwise Champion Programme.
About the Scamwise Champion Programme
The ScamwiseNI Partnership re-launched its Scamwise Champion programme in an Easy Read version, to help people with learning difficulties stay safe from scams.
This new version of the resource booklet has information and a number of challenges in an Easy Read format. The booklet contains important information about different types of scams, how to spot them, and how to report them. There are also activities to complete which include games, creating a poster, watching videos, colouring in sheets, and word searches. Anyone who completes three challenges is rewarded with a Silver Scamwise Champion badge and certificate. After completing five challenges, participants are rewarded with a Gold Scamwise Champion badge and certificate.
