My family's flight to America was delayed by over four hours
We were contacted by a family who wanted to make a compensation claim for a delayed flight they encountered when flying from Belfast to Newark three years ago. The flight had been delayed for over four hours and had impacted their holiday to America.
We contacted the airline on behalf of the consumer to ask why the flight had been delayed and if compensation was payable.
The airline confirmed that the delay had been caused by non-extraordinary circumstances and therefore each passenger was entitled to €600, resulting in a compensation pay out of over £1,600 for the family.
