Have your say on future of electricity
SONI, the electricity transmission system operator, launched a public consultation on the 8 March on the best ways to prepare the transmission grid for 2030.
The feedback from the consultation called ‘Shaping Our Electricity Future’ will help inform SONI’s approach to making the grid stronger so that it can carry more renewable energy.
This is a really important consultation for consumers, because it is consumers who will benefit from clean, affordable and secure electricity, but it is equally important to know that consumers pay for investments in the electricity grid as part of their electricity bills.
The consultation is open until 14th of June 2021.
