The Consumer Council supports International Day of Persons with Disabilities

To coincide with International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, The Consumer Council will be at George Best Belfast City Airport on 3, 5 and 6 December from 11am to 6pm. We will provide information on the types of assistance passengers with a disability or reduced mobility are entitled to when travelling.

Richard Williams, Head of Transport at The Consumer Council, said: “We are delighted to support International Day of Persons with Disabilities. We would urge all passengers, and in particular those with a disability or reduced mobility, who are travelling through George Best Belfast City Airport on 3, 5 or 6 December to come and visit our stall.

“Our team will be happy to provide useful information and offer free copies of our specialist resources, including ‘Access to Air Travel’ and ‘Access to Ferry Travel’, which provide information on the types of assistance passengers with a disability or reduced mobility are entitled to when travelling by air or ferry.”

Richard added, “For any consumers unable to make it, our resources can be requested by contacting The Consumer Council on 0800 121 6022, or by visiting our website www.consumercouncil.org.uk.”
