The Consumer Council represents consumers on water and sewerage matters.
We do this by working with the Northern Ireland Assembly, Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) and the economic and environmental regulators to make sure that consumers are at the centre of any decisions and policies. We also work with stakeholders to ensure NI Water focuses on customer service, customer care and delivers value for money in providing its services.

Codes of Pratice
NI Water is required to set standards of performance that you can expect to receive as a water and sewerage consumer. These standards of performance are set out in its Codes of Practice. These cover a range of issues including: how NI Water responds to complaints and enquiries, offers customers connection to the water and sewerage networks, responds to incidents and provides water efficiency advice.
