Monday 30 July 2012
The Consumer Council is to attend the Fermanagh County Show on the 7th and 8th of August and staff will be available to members of the public who have any queries on consumer issues.
Speaking in advance of the Fermanagh County Show, the CEO of the Consumer Council Antoinette McKeown said,
“The Consumer Council is delighted to be attending the Fermanagh County Show this year. It is a great opportunity for us to meet with people from Fermanagh and beyond.”
“The Consumer Council is keen to use this opportunity to provide useful information and advice to consumers and our expert staff will be on-site to speak to visitors to the show about issues such as water, transport and energy.”
“Consumer Council experts are aware that farmers in particular will be interested in our advice on water efficiency, how to get the best from their utilities and billing issues. Farmers, those in agri-business and other rural householders will also be interested in what to do if they want to want to switch energy suppliers and how to complain if the service is not what it should be.”
“Consumer Council Staff will also be providing advice on consumer rights regarding transport issues, such as how those with disabilities can access air travel, what to do if your flight is cancelled or delayed and how to complain.”
“Anyone who is attending the Fermanagh County Show is welcome to drop by our stand. For those who are not able to attend, all of the information is available on our website www.consumercouncil.org.uk or by telephoning our Consumer Support line on 0800 121 6022 or on facebook or twitter.”
