Statement From The Consumer Council
Tuesday 22 July 2008
Kathy McAuley, Head of Water at the Consumer Council said: “Today’s report from the Utility Regulator is an important step in moving forward. As Northern Ireland Water is the only supplier of water and sewerage services here, it is vital that there is absolute openness and transparency on all matters to do with water reform. What is important now is that consumers are at the centre of this issue. The Consumer Council is committed to continuing with a planned programme of work with Northern Ireland Water, The Utility Regulator and the Minister for Regional Development to get this issue right for consumers.”
