- Bus And Rail Passengers Are Next To Pay For Soaring Fuel Costs
6 August 2008Northern Ireland bus and rail passengers are next in line to be hit by the soaring cost of fuel with Translink’s announcement today that fares will rise by an average of five per cent on 25 August. Today’s announcement comes only six months after a similar announcement in March.

24 July 2008The Consumer Council says that the special measures being imposed by the Competition Commission on Northern Ireland banks should be applied to all banks in the UK. The comments come following the launch of a report on the UK personal current accounts market by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) which says that the market is not working well for consumers.

23 July 2008The Consumer Council today welcomed new legislation that will boost the rights of passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility when travelling through airports in Europe. From 26 July, airports will have to provide services that will help these passengers through each stage of their journey.
