Consumer Council Welcomes Fares Freeze for Translink Passengers
The Consumer Council welcomes today’s announcement from the Minister for Regional Development regarding a fares freeze on bus and rail services.
Speaking about the announcement, Scott Kennerley, Head of Transport at the Consumer Council said “Value for money is important to passengers, so this is very good news.
“However, we know that many passengers could even save money by switching from paying in cash to buying better value, multi journey ‘smart’ tickets. We will be working with Translink to improve passenger awareness of the best value tickets available.”
Anyone who wants more information on the best tickets available can visit the Translink website www.translink.co.uk or contact the Translink Contact Centre on 028 9066 6630.
