The Consumer Council has welcomed new UK wide guidelines which should see NI shoppers benefit from clearer, up front information on parcel delivery charges. This means they will no longer have to wait until the end of the purchasing process to find out if they will be hit with high charges or be left facing the prospect of no delivery at all.
The Consumer Council is due to meet with Post Office Management to discuss concerns raised by consumers on the proposed relocation of the Armagh Post Office from the Shopping Centre at Thomas Street.
The Consumer Council, which last month took on additional responsibilities regarding postal services in Northern Ireland, has today welcomed Royal Mail’s annual quality of service results.
