Potential Industrial Action to Affect Six Post Offices next week
The European Consumer Centre (ECC) Ireland, in conjunction with the Consumer Council for Northern Ireland, has today [Wednesday, December 14th 2016] launched a new report which found that despite EU legislation designed to prevent discrimination based on nationality and place of residence, some traders restrict consumers’ access to services.
Consumer Council welcomes today’s announcement by Royal Mail regarding the installation of an additional post box in Dromore, Co.Down.

The Consumer Council has advised Post Office customers to be aware of a planned 24-hour strike on Thursday 15 September, and to consider if they can visit on a different day or use an unaffected Post Office branch.
