'Driving Change in UK Payments' Consultation Conference
Friday 25 January 2008
The Consumer Council and the Payments Council held a conference to get peoples views on the National Payments Plan.
Venue: The Stormont Hotel, Belfast
Invite Only: Yes
Consumers and businesses in the UK have come to rely on being able to pay for goods and services by a variety of methods like debit and credit cards, cash, cheques and mobile phone. It is important that these continue to develop so that they are efficient, secure and meet the needs of consumers and businesses. The Payments Council is consulting on how we pay for goods and services and how it should change and develop over the next five to ten years. At this conference they sought people's views on a wide range of issues.
L-R Brian Pomeroy, Chairman of the Payments Council and Steve Costello, Chairman of the Consumer Council
