It will allow them to assess what might be best for them in managing their finances responsibly. For example, do I need a bank account? Is a credit card a good idea? From activities in this lesson pupils will understand the pressures exerted on them by their peer group. Exercises require pupils to interpret data and then gain an understanding of the benefits of financial planning. The lesson also teaches pupils the importance of budgeting and allows them to construct a personal budget. (Year 10)
