The General Consumer Council today welcomed the publication of new codes of practice by Phoenix Natural Gas.

The codes cover a range of issues on using gas in your home - everything from using pay as you go meters to making a complaint.

Steve Costello, Chairman at the Council said: " Consumers need to be able to sign up to natural gas with confidence, so this is a welcome step by Phoenix.

“We are pleased to be able to support this document, which is aimed at making life better for gas customers here. We encourage consumers to take the opportunity to read the codes and find out more about what to expect from gas the product and Phoenix Natural Gas the company."

Wesley Henderson, Director of Energy & Corporate Services added:

“The cooperation between the Consumer Council and Phoenix on this issue is a very positive example of working together to improve matters for consumers. We will continue to build on this as we address our future work on a range of issues.”
