Gas Price Pledge Kept

Responding to the announcement by Phoenix Natural Gas that their prices will go up by less than the rate of inflation, in October

Joan Whiteside, Chairman of the General Consumer Council said;

“ We are pleased that Phoenix have kept their promise to customers. Overall this means that the average gas customer will pay only between 13p and 15p extra a week to heat their home. Given the volatile prices of some other fuels, gas users will welcome this stability.”

Customers will also benefit next year when Phoenix has again promised to keep any price rise below inflation.
