I have an unusually high energy bill, what can I do?

Contact your energy supplier to discuss the increase with them. Check your bill to ensure the meter reading is not estimated, which can result in a higher bill.

How can I save money on my energy bills?

What will happen if I switch my supplier?

When you switch, your new supplier will work out the details with your old supplier. All energy suppliers use the same pipes and wires, so no work will be required at your property. The only difference will be who you get your bill from.

Why have I been asked to pay a security or termination fee?

Most energy suppliers will credit check new and renewing business customers and depending on the outcome, it may be prudent to ask for a security deposit payment. The energy companies also pay for the energy in advance whereas the customer pays in arrears.

Can I negotiate a price for my tariff?

I have moved into a new premises, how do I find out who the supplier is?

When is the best time to switch energy supplier?

View our Electricity Comparison Table and Gas Comparison Table on a regular basis for the best prices. If you find a cheaper tariff switch to them. If you are in a fixed term contract then end date with your current supplier before switching so you do not incur an early exit fee.
