The statement came at the prestigious third international Consumer Sciences Research Conference, opened by Eleanor Gill, Chief Executive of the Consumer Council.

  • Making Choices Today - What about tomorow?

    One of the themes central to the Consumer Council’s Corporate Plan 2005 – 2008 involves ‘Enabling Consumers to Make Responsible Choices’. This aims to: · Create a better understanding of responsible consumerism; · Use our influence to change expectations and raise standards; · Raise awareness of sustainability in relation to consumer consumption and choices; · Promote a co-ordinated approach; and · Position the Consumer Council as a thought leader and advocate of responsible consumerism.
