The Consumer Council Negotiating Contracts

Negotiating Contracts

If you switch supplier, you might be able to negotiate a contract that is better in terms of price and service. Different suppliers will offer different terms or special tariffs. For example, if your business mainly uses electricity at night, some suppliers may be able to offer you special night time rates.

However it is important to analyse any contract carefully, paying particular attention to the small print. It is also important not to be misled by sales agents’ promises. If it’s not in the contract it’s not part of the deal.
